Keramika Glaze Lab Part 1 & 2 with Tali Cohen-Flantz

Anagama Opening with Venessa Skye

10am - 2pm

This is a rare opportunity to be part of the reveal of a wood-fired anagama kiln after the 100 hour firing cycle. Participants are guided through the full context of the process, beginning with a short introduction to the firing process, and moving into the opening and unpacking of the kiln. Engage directly with the work, observe the effects of flame, ash, and atmosphere on surface and form.

Wild Clay Harvest & Processing with Ben Rumble

Explore the journey of clay from landscape to material. Participants will begin by visiting a local site to identify, extract, and respectfully harvest wild clay. Returning to the studio, the group will work through the full processing cycle—crushing, slaking, sieving, tempering, and preparing the clay for use.
