You will produce 1-2 pots using the hand building technique of “Pinching”. All materials, instruction and firing included for $30.00 per person.

Subtle movement and repetitive action reinforce the importance of touch. Working with clay integrates mental and kinaesthetic brain functions which makes you feel good. It also promotes joint movement and dexterity. Our hands are an outlet for creativity AND it is a lot of fun.

Be right there to watch the magic happen! Obvara is an exciting and immediate form of surface treatment where red hot bisque-fired ceramic ware is taken from the kiln and then dunked in the obvara brew. The patterns appear instantaneously – right before your eyes. Obvara is perfect for the impatient potter!

Join Jacqui – the ‘Obvara Queen’ - as she pulls pots from the kiln at 10:00am on both days of the Mud Trail.

BYO pot and be there at 9:00am sharp to place it in the kiln and get it fired. Pots need to be made of raku suitable clay and bisque fired to 999°C. No larger than 10cms.

Cost $40 to have your pot fired and $30 to witness the excitement! Bookings are essential.
